MUSIC@LXG: Junip_Without You

You know how a song grows on you? How it subtly creeps into your brain and then takes up permanent residence? Well here's one that is now an official citizen of my head: Without You, by Junip...

This song starts so deceptively simply with a percussive guitar riff and not much else, but as it continues, it builds in layers and complexity, lead by dreamy and almost fragile vocals by Jose Gonzales. It reaches a wonderful crescendo with synthesizers adding volume and an other-worldliness to the sound.

This is a fantastic live version, more than matching up to the actual cut on Junip's album, Fields, which we highly recommend you should give a listen to...

Great stuff:

LADY@LXG: JIMMY CHOO Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection

Expect a fantasy liaison that fuses the unique styles of Jimi Hendrix and Kate Moss in Jimmy Choo’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. We are talking ‘70s rock ‘n roll glamour with a sexy, and wearable bohemian edge...

These are my picks from their new collection - which are on my Christmas wish list too ;)

Nude is the new black and these two pieces are stunning in their simplicity and classic cut and finish.

The Comet peep-toes is my go-to shoe that can take me from a press conference to a fancy evening do...
...while the Purdey patent nudes are perfect everyday shoes that would look fab with jeans or a simple cotton frock. The cork platform gives me height without taxing my arches and is perfect for our  permanently summery climate.
I love the slouchy look and feel of the Solar in gold coarse metallic leather. I especially love the thick gold bangles around the strap. Wish I could take them out and wear them actually...

And my final pick, these gorgeous Biel Leopard print wedges.
Although I personally prefer a shoe with a platform, as I find them much more comfortable, these are just too cute to miss. I love how leopard print shoes can add that touch of understated drama to an otherwise conservative outfit.

Well that's my fill of Jimmy Choo for now... Enjoy, ladies!
