LADY@LXG: Nothing beats a good hair day, except maybe winning a billion dollars.

There is truly nothing more satisfying, not to mention confidence-boosting, than great looking and great smelling hair, which is why I was literally over the moon when HASK finally made it to Singapore!

If you haven't already heard of HASK, and are not skimming through my post to see where the heck you can get your HASK fix from (Guardian stores - you are welcome), you need to seriously get yourself out from under that rock because you have missed out on the hottest haircare product in Hollywood!
This range smells minty and gives body and volume to thin or limp hair

HASK is literally the hottest haircare product in the market. Not only are they not tested on animals (very important to me) and are free of SLS (its the chemical that is used in industrial floor cleaners and just about anything that foams and froths), the entire range smells so heavenly, you just want to drink the damn thing, let alone wash your hair with it. Normally, my scalp can be quite a bit of a diva, getting all itchy and dandruffy if I use shampoos that cost less than $45 a bottle, so I was so happy when it didn't throw a hissy fit when I used my first HASK product (Monoi Coconut - divine smelling and so hydrating).

I especially love how every single product under its range, be it coconut, almond, charcoal, etc., leaves my hair smelling so wonderful that I can't help but flick it around in the train, just to give everyone a sniff.

Lady@LXG Kristen Chen with HASK brand Ambassador Sukki Singapora
And who better to be the HASK brand ambassador here in Singapore but the country's only burlesque performer, the very beautiful Sukki Singapora.

And how does she maintain her hair, which at the launch was in a number of vibrant shades? Well Sukki swears by the HASK Kalahari range.

HASK Shampoos and Conditioners are affordably priced at $16.90 and their hair mask sachets (a godsend for dry, dehydrated hair) and glossing oil vials (think super-awesome smelling, gorgeously shiny but absolutely no greasy hair) are priced at only SGD $4.90, so what are you waiting for? Go grab yourself some HASK today!

HASK is exclusively available at all Guardian stores and is my new favourite haircare brand ever!

LADY@LXG: Falling in love with Her Majesty The Oud

"Pleasure is the flower that passes; remembrance, the lasting perfume".

- Jean De Boufflers

Her Majesty The Oud

HER MAJESTY THE OUD and HIS MAJESTY THE OUD are the two new eaux de perfumes in The Oud Collection that capture an idyllic period in history when two great civilisations - England and the Orient - were perfectly entwined.

The scent captures the fantasy and romance of the desert with its sheikhs and kings, through the combination of rare and exotic ingredients which come together to create a scent that is truly one of its kind.

HER MAJESTY THE OUD with its delicate scent of Osmanthus flower combined with a heady combination of red fruit jam, Turkish Rose, Saffron and Iris, Oud of Assam Accord, leather and Vanilla Absolute - is truly a majestic fragrance of sublimely sovereign beauty.

His Majesty The Oud
This elegant fragrance which laces together the Orient and Occident was inspired by Gertrude Bell, English adventuress, archaeologist, and diplomat of the Levant.

HIS MAJESTY THE OUD is an intensely masculine and refined fragrance that celebrates the brand’s royal connections to Britain and Egypt.

Lapsang Souchong Accord, cloves, leather, cedar and sandalwood, Oud Laos essence – Styrax Vulcain and Vanilla, gives the scent its bold and smoky intensity.

Inspired by the legendary King Faisa I, confidante of Gertrude Bell and trusted ally of Lawrence of Arabia, his charisma and elegance have been perfectly captured in this beautiful fragrance.

The LADY@LXG loving the new scent by Atkinsons

The perfumes, packaged in gold flacons with elegant black tags ensconced in their plush packaging, are indeed scents made for royalty.

This luxurious fragrance is available in Singapore exclusively at Robinsons The Heeren and is priced at $305 for a 100ml natural EDP spray.

LADY@LXG: Discovers the Power of Light

"Recently my eczema went a little mental, and decided that it needed to spread all over my arms and legs, leaving me looking like I was suffering from chicken pox".

With two bouts of steroids not doing much, I even opted for TCM treatments, which helped, but didn't cure the itching and disgusting bumps and lumps and the food restrictions that were imposed on me during the treatment (no meat, no poultry, no eggs - which meant no cake, no pastries, no nothing with eggs, no shell fish and no spices) left me so hungry. The only bright light at the end of this dismal tunnel was the fact that I managed to finally lose 3 kilos (yay!).

EHA Clinic at Shaw Centre in Orchard is located on level #15-01
It was during my severe mutant stage when I bumped into Dr. Elias Tam from EHA Clinic in orchard  and he was kind enough to not shudder at the sight of my grotesqueness.

In fact, Dr.Tam even touched and examined my yucky bumps and suggested I try his Omega Light Machine. The clinic called me later that day and scheduled a weekly 20-minute session using yellow light to heal my red, itchy and inflamed skin.

Its been 3-weeks and the eczema on my face is almost all gone. Apart from very faint redness, the itching and weeping wounds have completely healed.

This is what inspired me to stick my arms into the machine today in the hope of trying to get my arms to look less hideous. I would have stuck my legs in, but it would require some contortion, so maybe another day perhaps.

The Omega Light machine has 4 different types of lights, each with its own benefits, from wound healing, collagen boosting and fading of pigmentation. I honestly cannot imagine how something so simple as light could have so many benefits, but does and I can see and feel the improvement.

Each session of Omega light is currently priced at $150 but if its your first time, the trial price is only $90. To find out more, call EHA Clinic at 6235 3325 or visit them at www.ehaclinic.sg

LADY@LXG: Is in love with Pureessentiel!

"Aromatherapy can help address the physical and emotional causes of pain"

I am a huge, huge fan of all things aromatherapy for a myriad of reasons, from personal to health. In fact, I even use pure essential oils (tea tree, lavender and peppermint - in case you were interested) to clean my house, as its non toxic and leaves the house smelling so lovely and the soothing lavender oil helps keep my hyper pup less crazy.

At the media launch recently, we were given three products out of their comprehensive range to try:

My favourite is the PURESSENTIEL PURIFYING Air Spray with 41 essential oils and  I was so excited to try it out that I started spritzing it around my house the moment I got home. Apart from the fact that it smells absolutely divine, it has helped  control my asthma and sinus from flaring up. So much so that I spray around the four corners of the room every night.

The spray is said to get rid of bacteria, viruses, microscopic fungi and unpleasant odours. It also limits the sources of allergies, ensuring you breathe in purer air. With 41 essential oils and bio-alcohol, this product is 100% natural and free of cancer causing synthetic perfume (seriously, synthetic scents are bad- google it if you don't believe me).

The Purifying Air Spray retails at $49.90 for 200 ML.
Something I can’t live without and use every night is the PURESSENTIEL MUSCLES & JOINTS Roller with 14 essential oils Ok so those of you who read my rants know that I have sensitive skin and am currently having an awful outbreak of eczema, which basically means that I can’t use almost anything. In fact, right now, I am even restricted from eating anything, which sucks with it being Christmas and all. The only benefit of restricting my chocolate and cake is the fact that I might actually lose some of that weight I have piled on. What I really like about this roller is that its tolerance tested, which essentially means that I can use it without my skin to breaking out in a rash. Its non photo-sensitizing, non photo-irritating, dye-and preservative-free, with no artificial fragrance and no mineral oils. The best part is that it smells so nice (not old-lady like at all) so much so that you can wear it when you go out (yeah its that nice!) and it works almost immediately, nixing pain upon contact almost. The Muscle and Joints Roller retails at $33.90.

PURESSENTIEL MUSCLES & JOINTS Soothing Balm + 14 essential oils This little pot of happiness is suitable for more intense pain and just like the roll-on, it smells really nice and botanical and will not leave you smelling like your granny, which means you can use it anytime you need it, even when you are going out.

The velvety balm helps relax muscle tensions with its 14 essential oils. Its also 100% natural, 100% pure and 100% active, has no colouring, mineral oils or preservatives and retails at $26.90.

The PUREESSENTIEL range is available exclusively at BEAUTY BY NATURE stores islandwide.

LADY@LXG: Thank God for Maybelline Mascara and Concealer...

"I am not one of those girls who needs to plaster on a whole face of slap before I can leave the house. At the same time, I do try to look and smell nice because, well because I respect myself, and I don't want to make little children run away crying".

Personally, I feel naked without my lipstick, mascara and concealer (for those areas that just need concealing).

While I would love to have long, fluttery lashes that I can coyly flitter at attractive males that I come across, I was unfortunately born with a bit of stubby and sparse hair that perches precariously upon my eyelid, masquerading as lashes. Also, unlike most girls, I suck at wearing falsies. They always look lopsided, and I end up glueing my eyes shut, which is such a pain (literally)  - and that is why I am so very thankful to have discovered Maybelline's Lash Sensational Mascara which thanks to its lash catcher wand, can fan out even the stubbiest lashes, from one end to the other.

The shorter bristles on one side of the wand allow you to go really close to your lash line, while the longer bristles help to fan out all the lashes, even the stubborn little ones, giving you nine-times more volume - so I can ditch those annoying falsies once and for all.

Of course if you want major dolly eyes, you are still going to need those falsies I'm afraid, but for me, this works just fine.

As for a concealer, I swear by YSL's Touche Eclat, although recently I bought a lovely one from Physicians Formula which gives a lovely sheer and natural coverage for a fraction of the price of my Touche Eclat.
Then recently, while trawling through Watsons, I discovered the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, which comes in two colours and helps erase dark circles, puffiness and fine lines instantly (this really works by the way).

The active formula with Haloxyl reduces the look of puffiness and shadows, while fading the appearance of under-eye circles. It applies very smoothly and covers completely.

Unlike my usual concealer/highlighter, this product leaves skin matte with pretty good coverage. My skin felt like I had nothing on, but my dark circles and eczema was covered beautifully (although it did look a bit cakey on the flakey bits, but then what wouldn't right?).

LADY@LXG: I HEART my La Roche Posay sleeping mask

The best thing you can do for your skin is to keep it hydrated and protected from the sun. Its actually as simple as that.

I actually got this product from La Roche-Posay to feature in a magazine article I was working on, but unfortunately the direction of the story changed and I couldn't feature it.
However, since it was a trial and review article, I had to try the product, and decided to use it before bed. The next morning, I woke up to plumper, hydrated and very happy skin. Even my stupid eczema decided it was happy and didn't flare up for a change (hoorah!).
The Hydraphase Empowering Thermal Water Sleeping Mask is Infused with the highest concentration of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water and Hyaluronic Acid, perfect for sensitive and dehydrated skin (like my own) to absorb and retain moisture, which helps to protect and strengthen the skin’s barrier function.
The mask's time-release hydration function, continuously quenches the skin when you most need it most, which is at night when the aircon is blasting away. The mask locks in the moisture within the skin all night long, restoring and preserving the skin's barrier.
Skin cells are strengthened and recover their anti-oxidant and anti-pollution defences to better fight daily aggressors like the haze and pollution.

I love this mask so much that I use it almost every night, especially when my eczema is acting up. I also plan to use this on the plane on my upcoming trip, to keep my skin hydrated and protected from the ultra drying airplane air (yay!).

The Hydraphase Empowering Thermal Water Sleeping Mask is $42.90 and is available at Derma Center (Westgate Mall), major pharmacies like Watsons, Guardian, Unity and selected hospital pharmacies.

LADY@LXG: The LADY discovers the ultimate matte lip colour!

"Of course true beauty comes from within, but lipstick just adds a little pizzaz...and who doesn't need a little pizzaz in their life?"

I personally find that its not easy to wear matte shades, be they lip colour or nail polish, as they can be quite unforgiving, highlighting every single flaw and sleight of hand, unlike their glossy counterparts.

However, having said that, I recently splurged on a matte lipstick in the most divine plum shade for almost $70, but  sadly it ended up making me look like an aging vampire.

Note to self, avoid matte lipsticks in very dark shades, as it ages, ironically due to the matte and drying effect of the lipstick.

This is why, I was initially skeptical about trying out another matte lip colour, but as always, I couldn't resist the lovely shades at the counter and the very, very attractive price.

What makes this lip colour even more cool is that it is not tested on animals, which means a lot to me personally, being a mummy to six fur-kids. It also has no fragrance, no carmine, and no paraben so I can wear it confidently, without worrying about damaging or discolouring my lips. I decided to play it safe this time and get a more natural shade and I must admit that I was so impressed that a product that was so wallet-friendly, could be so good in quality.

The balm was silky smooth against my lips thanks to the Calendula Flower Oil, White Mulberry Extract and Vitamin E, and the pigment was strong enough to give me a thick coat of colour after just one pass with the pencil. Although matte, its very silky and smooth and does not age me at all. Over all, I love the range of colours, the fact that its long lasting and that the price is so affordable that I could buy all six-shades without breaking the bank.

SILKYGIRL Matte Fever Lipcolor Balm retails for $13.90 at all major pharmacies, personal care and departmental stores and is available in six flattering shades: Flame, Desire, Charm, Siren, Passion and Vogue

LADY@LXG: Loving the world's first facial epilator by BRAUN!

How is it that women with moustaches are able to convince themselves that the the thick carpet of hair on their upper-lip is not really that noticeable?
I have actually had hair-pullingly frustrating conversations with highly educated women in high powered careers, who have convinced themselves that they either do not have a moustache - its simply a case of shadows caused by their nose or the direction of the

sun or light source (I kid you not) or, that the hair on their upper lip is so delicate and fine, that its barely noticeable, when in fact, its so darn thick, they could give most men a run for their money.

Personally, I am very into grooming. In fact, as far as I am concerned, a woman should only have hair on her head, eyebrows and lashes (and private-bits, should she choose to do so). Anywhere else, is just not attractive nor particularly hygienic.

Before you start labelling me an anti-feminist, let me say that I am all for women's rights, and grooming oneself does not make a woman less of a feminist, nor does a thick matt of armpit hair signify that you are a spokesperson for Women's Lib. Because grooming is all about self-respect and it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, hairy legs and short skirts, just don't work, period.

I usually have my brows and upper-lip threaded weekly. I love threading because its fast, precise and leaves me looking clean and groomed, but its not exactly convenient or economical, which is why, I was so excited when BRAUN sent me their Braun Face

With 10 micro-openings for super-efficient epilation, Braun Face keeps you fuzz-free for up to four weeks. Epilation with Braun Face is also 200 times faster than manual tweezers and can remove hairs four times shorter than traditional waxing (these are not empty claims. The gadget can actually wrench out, even the teeniest hairs without the pain usually associated with tweezing). The epilator also provides a gentle experience and more precise results than alternative epilators. In seconds, it gives you smooth, hair-free skin that lasts for weeks and makes you actually look like a woman again!

Braun Face is very easy to use. Just a few swipes across your upper lip, and even the most minuscule hairs are gone, the best part, its not painful. This actually surprised me, 'cos I expected it to hurt a bit, like tweezing or threading, but for some reason, it doesn't. Its far less painful, so if  you are afraid of pain, this little beauty is for you! Just be careful when epilating your brows, because its easy to lose control, especially if its your first time using it, and you can end up losing an eyebrow. I accidentally removed a part of my brow, which did not do much for my looks, but it was totally my fault for getting a little too excited with the gadget on the first try.

I love how beautiful and slim the epilator is. Its seriously so compact and light-weight, I can pop it into my bag and take it wherever I go. In fact, I love BRAUN, cos even my regular epilator is by them and its a gadget that I totally can't live without! I also love the fact that it comes with a detachable facial brush head, which means that when I travel, I only need to pack one gadget, which will keep me looking groomed and cleansed with little effort.

Braun Face retails at $99 and is available in Singapore at all major electrical chain stores, departmental stores, leading hypermarkets and independent electrical stores.

For more information, visit their website at: http://www.braun.com

LADY@LXG: Restore youthful luminosity to your skin with SOTHYS

Our skin's has an energy capital which is the source of its radiance throughout the years. And when the skin is deprived of this energy (due to lifestyle, ageing, diet, stress etc), it loses its glow and appears more marked by the signs of ageing.

Because more than 90% of visible light is not directly reflected by the cutaneous surface; instead, it penetrates the skin before being revealed, the cutaneous radiance depends closely on the skin's quality. Sothys advanced research has selected an illuminating complex and unifying pigments to play with the light and reveal every woman's beauty, immediately, day after day, making this range one of my beauty must-haves!

Sothys Energizing Booster Serum (S$279, 30ml)

This intensive serum helps boost the skin’s energy to restore a radiant complexion. Formulated with Anti-ageing Illuminating Complex to limit and correct imperfection, this lightweight serum absorbs instantly and does not leave any heavy or greasy after feel.

Just like the Energising Day and Night cream from this range, which left my skin looking amazing, even after a sleepless night, this serum has the same magical properties, but even more concentrated, if you could believe it!

Use this serum every morning and evening on the entire face and neck, avoiding eye contour, followed by your moisturiser. I usually use this every night, especially before an important event or meeting, because I wake up the next day with glowing and clearer skin!

This little ampoule is like an expresso shot for your face. An energy booster for instant radiance and brightness, it acts as an instant transparent mask to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and upon application. Forget using a primer if you are using this little wonder, cos it leaves skin looking flawless, sort of like its been photoshopped, so save it before a big night out!

After using your moisturiser, simply apply the entire content of an ampoule onto your face and neck and gently smooth it over the skin and viola...photoshopped perfection! (psssst... you can even blend it with your foundation, for an all-day-lasting makeup!)

The SOTHYS Diamond Programme is available at appointed SOTHYS Salons island wide!

LADY@LXG: Turn back the hands of time with Neostrata's Triple Firming Neck Cream

“Using patented NeoCitrate and NeoGlucosamine, this neck cream promotes collagen and hyaluronic acid production, plumping and lifting the skin around the neck”.

As a beauty editor, I have always believed that our face ends at our chest, which is why I have always slathered on the same pricey boosters, serums and lotions that I use on my face, onto my neck. In fact, I won't even dare to draw my blackout curtains in the morning until I have a layer of sunscreen 'tapped' onto my face, neck and décolletage.

However, no matter how dedicated I have been, I feel that my neck seems to have aged faster than it should have, especially for my age. And to rub this fact in further, I get tut-tutted at by my facial therapist every month when she catches sight of my lined neck (sigh).

Because my skin is super-sensitive and prone to break out in raised patches of eczema for no rhyme or reason, I was a bit wary about using anything new, but since it was a product by Neostrata, I figured it should be safe!

This cream smells really fresh and clean and does not leave a sticky after-feel, unlike a lot of other moisturisers and neck creams. Instead, this cream absorbs fast, and leaves skin feeling silky, smooth and delicately scented.

Because I have only recently started using the cream, I can’t tell you if I have noticed any improvements (yet), although I do expect to see some after a month of using this product, twice a day.

The Neostrata Triple Firming Neck Cream is a special anti-ageing cream designed for the  delicate and often neglected neck area and decollete. The strong firming and exfoliating action is said to improve all the signs of premature ageing and is formulated with a powerful blend of NeoStrata proprietary and other selectively sourced ingredients.

Based on three components, this cream tightens, increases volume and addresses sagging skin in the neck area. If this truly works, it is indeed a godsend, as I seem to have a lot of lines on my neck. Far more than I should for my age.

Pro-peptides stimulate the production rate of collagen in the deeper layers of skin; NeoCitriate™ helps to produce new collagen to lift and firm; and clinically proven NeoGlucosamine® helps increase hyaluronic acid and evens pigmentation, while helping to create a supportive skin structure. The strong effect of this cream is further reinforced by the Apple Stem Cell Extract which helps to maintain cells and gives the skin a younger, tighter appearance by creating a powerful invisible mesh support to restore and maintain the shape of the neck.

LADY@LXG: My eyebrow touch up at Allure Beauty

For those of you who followed my latest eyebrow embroidery session at Allure Beauty's newly renovated outlet At Bukit Batok in August this year, you would know that I had my touchup due this month. For those of you who missed my post, you can read about it here.
Unfortunately, due to work commitments, I couldn't make it there as planned in September, instead, I found myself making my way to their Tiong Bahru outlet last week (almost two months since my first treatment) to get my brows touched up. As soon as I stepped into the cool confines of Allure Beauty, I was greeted with a big smile and a cooling cup of ginseng tea. A therapist then applied numbing cream, topped up my cup of tea and left me to de-stress.

After around 30 minutes when the numbing cream had taken effect and I was feeling suitably numb around the brow area, my original therapist examined my brows and admired the fact that two months after the first drawing, it was still looking awesome, thanks to me diligently taking care of it as instructed!
My therapist then touched up my brows, drawing in individual hairs using a hand-held eyebrow embroidery tool, similar to a thick pen. This detail-oriented process is carried out to match the natural growth and direction of my own eyebrows and fill in any gaps and darken any areas that had lightened. The procedure was very fast and painless. In around just 20 minutes I was done.
Despite the painless procedure, my therapist handed me a tube of antiseptic cream to be applied five times a day for a week, to prevent infection as the process involves the penetration of colour into the top layer of the skin. You will also be handed a list of care-instructions that I advise you to follow as much as possible, if you want your brows to last. Try and avoid wetting the brows for the first week - and facials are a no-no during this crucial period as well. Based on my previous experience, I expect my brows to last between 18 to 24 months!

LADY@LXG: On a quest for the perfect brows with ALLURE Beauty

" I find that nothing frames a face so beautifully, or gives an instantaneous lift quite like perfectly shaped brows" - Anastasia

I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid, I had no eyebrows and looked like an alien, so my father, in an Eureka moment, decided to shave my non-existent brows, resulting in a fine, downy growth of hair - and that, dear reader, is how I got my eyebrows.

But as I grew older and realized how important our eyebrows are in framing our face, my fine downy brows were just not enough. Although beautifully shaped and arched, thanks to weekly threading appointments, my skills with a brow pencil were quite clumsy and primitive and it took me ages to draw each morning. Needless to say, this left me quite frustrated and irritable, not the best mood to be in just before a long commute in a cramped train!

Then several years ago I was invited down to Allure Beauty for a media trial and two hours later, I left with the most spectacular brows in human history!

Since then, I have insisted on having my brows done only by the trained professionals at Allure. Although some may consider it a bit pricey, I think its a sum worth paying for quality brows, which will last you up to two whole years. This is unlike other places which may charge less, but the brows just don’t go the distance in terms of shape, how long it lasts and how much detail is put into every strand of hair that is painstakingly drawn amidst your own natural hair.

Allure Beauty celebrated their 12th anniversary this year with a newly revamped Allure Beauty Salon at West Mall. This outlet boasts 1,182 square foot space with eight individual beauty suites, ten beauty couches, two couple rooms, one eyebrow suite and four facial suites!

LADY@LXG: I ‘heart’ my new Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510

I have finally (after more than 30 years) come to realize that there are no bad hair days, just bad hair tools!

After having existed my entire life on this planet without ever having owned a hair dryer (much to my stylist’s dismay), I was handed a snazzy looking new model from Braun. To this day, I don’t know why Braun chose me of all people to test-drive their new dryer, especially since I hadn’t the foggiest clue as to how to use the thing. I suspect it was my post on Shiseido where I featured a ‘before and after’ photo of my hair, which was when I finally realized that I had spent the past three decades fooling myself that my hair looked awesome from every angle.

So after admiring my sleek new Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510 for a few days, I decided to visit my stylist who promptly dropped to his knees and thanked the heavens for this blessing (I honestly don’t know why I stick with him, what with all his overly dramatic gestures and sarcasm) and promptly gave me a “hair drying for dummies” tutorial.

Its been a month and I have dried my hair almost daily (if I am not leaving the confines of my house I just let it drip dry). The beautiful thing is so easy to use. It is lightweight, not too hot, has a funky green light that releases ions and keeps my hair shiny and pretty - and best of all, my hair actually looks groomed and sleek and does not turn up on one side and inwards on the other.

I seriously love my Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510. If I had more space in my house, I would build a display case for it and admire it upon waking every day. At the moment, I store it in it’s nice box in my cupboard together with my Ferragamo bag.

I am big enough to admit that I was an idiot to not get a hair dryer sooner. But more importantly, I think its important to get the right dryer, as opposed to any old model you see in the store.

I love my Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510, not just because its so sexy, sleek and black and has a funky green ion light, but also because;
Unlike other heat stylers which increase the risk of static build up, my new Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510 helps eliminate this effect. It’s unique ion technology (the funky green light) acts like a natural moisturizer during drying, taming frizz and static and leaving one’s hair gorgeously shiny and smooth. Because every individual hair is unique, the Satin-Hair 5 dryer has 3 heat and 2 airflow settings that can be adjusted separately to match the needs and requirements of your hair type and styling preferences. The calibrated fan technology distributes the heat evenly so that your hair gets dried efficiently without drying out.

The Cold Shot function (which I have yet to use) allows you to cool your hair and set your style in place. The cold shot also protects, preventing the heat from remaining in your hair longer than necessary. The heat may go, but the style will last longer.
Hair_dryer_Braun_ion technology
If you are looking for an awesome hair dryer, you have to get yourself the Braun Satin-Hair 5 dryer HD 510 which retails at just $99.
